On AU's main campus, the SIS building reflects our commitment to sustainability and transparency.

The SIS building was designed by 'green' architect William McDonough and has LEED-gold certification.

Environmental activist Buckminster Fuller created the Dymaxion map in 1946, represented in the panels that encircle the top level of the SIS building.

Our dolharubang, or grandfather statues, were a gift of the governments of the Republic of Korea and Jeju Island.

The SIS Atrium is the heart of the school and the home of the Davenport Coffee Lounge - fondly known as The Dav.

SIS has three solar water-heating systems that pre-heat water for the building, including the Dav's espresso machines.

The Dav is a café featuring vibrant décor, fresh coffee, and delicious refreshments. It's an SIS landmark.

The inukshuk - the stone sculpture representing stength, leadership, and motivation - is made of stones from the SIS construction site.

The SIS building is home to six classrooms.

We offer small, seminar-style courses of about 20 students each.

Above the Atrium, skylights bring in natural daylight.

A 3,230 square-food array of photovoltaic solar panels on the roof reduces the reliance on nonrenewable energy sources.

SIS professors draw from a wide range of areas of expertise.

We look forward to welcoming you as part of the School of International Service!
